Traditionally in India if you wanted to immerse yourself in the spiritual path of yoga you found a Guru. A guru is not merely a yoga teacher, he is the only one who can enlighten your soul by the luminosity of his own revealed spirit. He reflects the brilliance of your spirit and what you see in him is actually your own self. Gu means ‘darkness’ and ru means ‘light’. Guru is the one who removes the darkness & ignorance from the mind to reveal the pure light of the inner consciousness.(Hatha Yoga Pradipika) Your guru would lead you through a specific system & he/she would know how to guide a person step by step in accordance to their own personal evolution.
My Guru is Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati who follows in the footsteps of Swami Satyananda Saraswati & comes from a long lineage in the yogic tradition.
I am not a Guru but I have been trained & practise the techniques of Satyananda yoga and am qualified to share these with others. A 1-2-1 session is a perfect opportunity to tailor the sequence of practices to suit your needs and to deepen your own sadhana (personal practise).
