Reflexology is an ancient therapy and a gentle form of natural healing that follows the principles that there are reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to all parts of the body. These reflexes are massaged with special techniques using the thumbs and fingers, and is combined with relaxation techniques, massage and joint mobilisation techniques that brings balance to body, mind and emotions.
What does a treatment involve?
On your first visit a detailed health case history will be taken, this takes time so you need to allow extra time for your appointment.
You will receive a full hour treatment that includes acupressure techniques being used on the feet, you may feel some areas are sensitive, however the treatment is usually a pleasant experience & induces a deep state of relaxation, the treatment is finished with a gentle massage using aromatherapy massage oil or lotion.
It is recommended that you allow time after your treatment to rest & relax & to drink plenty of water to help eliminate any toxins in the body.
Reflexology is not a diagnostic tool, but tenderness in an area of the foot during a reflexology session could be the following;
Some of these reactions as due to the releasing of stored toxins and will usually occur in the following 48 hours and disappear rapidly.

Client Recommendations
I started having reflexology with Bridget in 2005(and have not stopped since) when I was stressed and very anxious. We discussed in detail my health history and the issues that were affecting me at the time. Reflexology had a positive effect on my anxiety as soon as the first session started. The positive effect on my digestion was immediate!
Through regular reflexology sessions with Bridget, my digestion improved, muscular tension was released and I became more aware and in-tune with my body. This has helped me to learn to listen to my body, recognise physical symptoms and emotions and work with them.
Having reflexology during my pregnancy was amazing! It helped me feel light, relaxed & confident. It alleviated symptoms of water retention, back ache and sciatica and helped with digestion. And the bump loved it!
Bridget is an amazing practitioner who approaches everything she does with love, honesty and authenticity. She makes you feel at home, welcomed and relaxed. I am always looking forward to the next session with her!
